Slim pad printing machine of type Modul 110
The 110/100 modules are compact machines within the Modul series and support ink cup sizes with diameters ranging from 56 mm to 86 mm. Unlike the 130/170/220 modules, they are designed exclusively for single-print applications. The "forward-backward" motion of the pad is driven by a linear motor that can be positioned with high precision. However, movement in the "left-right" direction can only be achieved by shifting the entire machine or by mechanically adjusting the cliché holder. The primary application of these modules is the use of multiple machines arranged in a carré configuration. In such setups, all printing stations can be electrically positioned independently in both the X and Y directions. This allows for rapid and highly accurate alignment, with a precision of up to 0.01 mm. A key advantage of the 110/100 modules is the reduced mass of each individual station compared to larger machines with multiple pads operating on a single pad stroke. This results in faster operation. Additionally, the system stands out for its user-friendly position adjustment and higher accuracy. Thanks to their compact design, the 110/100 modules are also ideally suited for use as standalone machines, particularly in installations with limited space.
Pad printing machine for installation in an assembly cell
This custom pad printing machine is a perfect example of how we integrate a pad printer into a customer-defined modular unit. Large production lines are increasingly built in a modular fashion. Individual process steps are carried out in module cells, which are connected via a transport system – in this case, a plate-based system. This makes it easier to set up or reconfigure a production line, significantly increasing flexibility. However, space constraints are often predefined for such units, and a standard machine does not always fit. In such cases, we adapt our machine so it can be precisely integrated into the available space. Furthermore, the machines can be equipped with additional functions. This example demonstrates how the system verifies whether the correct ink color has been filled. Communication with a central control system plays a key role in such applications. In this case, the central system can select between two colors and three different symbols. Additionally, it can define individually for each part on the workpiece carrier whether it should be printed or not. Do you have a modular setup or slots for injection molding machines and need a compatible pad printing system? We have extensive experience and can tailor our machines to meet your specific requirements.
High-speed 5-color pad printing machine – Model 5Star
The 5-Star is a multicolor pad printing machine capable of printing 1 to 5 colors, designed for ink cup sizes of 86 mm or 120 mm. It features five printing units arranged around a rotating table. Each cliché can be individually and precisely positioned in the XY-axis and angle via mechanical adjustments on the cliché holder. Ink pickup, ink transfer, and pad cleaning are performed in parallel, making the 5-Star one of the fastest five-color pad printing machines available. A major advantage is that only one part fixture is required, which remains stationary throughout the entire printing process. This enables integration with rotary indexing tables and simplifies manual loading, as there's no need to wait for the final positioning of the fixture. Compared to similar systems, the 5-Star allows printing stations to be skipped without interruption, significantly boosting productivity. Another benefit: for double printing, ink can be picked up directly at the loading station without returning to the standard pickup position. Additionally, the pendulum mode between heads 1 and 2 offers an efficient solution for fast two-color printing.
RP5 pad printing machine for printing on car rims
The RP5 is an excellent example of how we adapt our pad printing machines to suit specific products and applications – in this case, car rims and the precise alignment of the print to the valve hole using a camera system. Standard machines often reach their limits when printing on car rims, as rims are significantly larger and heavier than typical pad-printed products. Reaching the entire surface of the rim with the pad is often challenging. In addition, the varying angles of the print areas complicate the process. The movement of the rim, including rotation and angle adjustments relative to the pad, involves numerous positioning steps that introduce greater tolerances and potential inaccuracies. To overcome this challenge, we optimized the process using the RP5. In this solution, the rim is only translated and rotated, while the pad is designed with extended motion capability to reach all relevant areas. Additionally, the pad angle can be precisely adjusted to ensure optimal, perpendicular print positioning. Do you have a special product that cannot be printed easily with a standard machine? We develop tailor-made pad printing machines precisely adapted to your requirements.
